Young Mathematicians Raise Almost 8K for Cancer Research
In their finest fundraising effort to date, young mathematicians at John Quincy Adams raised $7,985.50 for cancer research by participating in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon for the third year in a row. Under the direction of Math-A-Thon coordinator Marianna Grieco, they used math skills to solve problems in St. Jude’s Funbooks, yielding pledge donations from family and friends that will help in fighting for a cure for childhood cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
