Students Attend Compassion Without Borders

A contingent of students from the high school – including members of the Students Against Destructive Decisions and Health Education and Action Team clubs, and junior and sophomore class officers – attended a recent Compassion Without Borders conference at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington. The program focused on tolerance, civility and compassion. Rohan Murphy, a champion athlete and professional motivator who lost his legs at birth, was the featured speaker. “Rohan’s message was to not let a disability stand in the way of your dreams,” said SADD adviser Janet Werner-Kempski. “It was a wonderful program.”
