At the high school’s spring Breakfast of Champions event, held in the library, 20 star students were recently honored for such qualities as their attitude of excellence, enthusiasm for learning, perseverance and willingness to challenge themselves.

Selecting student honorees from each of the school’s 15 departments as well as two champions chosen by principals and three by teacher’s choice, the biannual Breakfast of Champions provides an opportunity for teachers and administrators to recognize specific students who have had an impact.

“These students have shown excellent conduct and character on a daily basis,” said Jeanne Kozlowsky, associate principal of curriculum, instruction and assessment. She told the students and their families, “You should all be very proud representing Deer Park High School.”
