Seniors at the high school were given a detailed look at a congressman’s job and the demand of politics during a special Oct. 22 visit from U.S. Rep. Pete King. During a question-and-answer period following King’ talk, the students asked thoughtful questions regarding his platform and how he has voted on legislation, as well as the economic stimulus package, financial aid, gay marriage and veterans' affairs.

“No matter their political beliefs, the feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, and they really enjoyed the visit,” said social studies teacher Christopher Kauter.
