For the eighth year in a row, Brooklyn’s Project Trio will return to Deer Park on April 15 to perform and work with district student-musicians from the high school and JFK.

Rooted in classical, the three genre-defying musicians fuse jazz, hip-hop, and world music into a dynamic blend that has evolved a new form of chamber music.  Their recent albums debuted at the top of Billboard’s classical and jazz charts.

After rehearsing with JFK’s advanced band and the high school’s orchestra and women’s choir, Project Trio will perform that evening at the high school at 7 p.m., both with the students and by themselves. Tickets are $5.

“If you’ve never been one of their performances here in Deer Park, you will be amazed at what they do,” said Dr. Jeff Dailey, the district’s director of fine and performing arts.
