Christine DiProperzio has been named as the district’s new curriculum associate for ELA, reading and library in grades 6-12, replacing Christina Poppe.

DiProperzio graduated from Hofstra University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education. For a year and a half, she worked as a teaching assistant in the special education department at Manhasset Secondary School while earning a master’s degree in special education from Queens College.

Since 2001, she has worked at Deer Park High School as a tenured English teacher, predominantly teaching English 11. In 2005, after completing an internship with the high school’s administrative staff, she earned a professional certificate in school administration from Queens College.

“This year, I am excited to be given the opportunity to collaborate with the teaching and administrative staff at the middle school and high school in order to provide our department with the support needed to continue inspiring our students to excel and reach their goals,” said DiProperzio.
