Anastasia Tzortzatos is the new district administrator for instructional technology, replacing Andrew Choi.

She comes to the district from the Lawrence School District, where she worked as an English as a second language teacher for 12 years. While at Lawrence, she served as both the PM school and ESL/world language coordinator for the past two years, and as the summer school coordinator from 2012-2014.

Tzortzatos, a resident of Massapequa Park, earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Adelphi University, where she also received a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages. She later attended Stony Brook University, where she obtained certification as a school building leader and school district leader. She is currently working on her doctorate in educational leadership at St. John’s University.

“I look forward to facilitating a more intensive use of technology in everyday lessons to assist in the understanding and growth of every Deer Park student,” said Tzortzatos.
