High school student Sabah Siddique has been recognized as a Commended Student by the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. The exceptional senior was awarded for her results on the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, in which she finished among the top 5 percent of the more than 1.5 million students nationwide who took part in the competition.

Ranked 18th in her class, Siddique plans to major in economics. She has excelled both academically and musically, playing guitar and participating as a member of the high school’s chorus.

“Sabah is a wonderful young lady who has a passion for learning and a commitment to our school and community,” said social studies teacher Victor LoMonaco. “I’ve always admired her work ethic and dedication to her studies and co-curricular activities.”
