At JQA’s annual pre-K pumpkin workshop, the district’s youngest students worked with visiting parents and grandparents to create festive pumpkin votive candleholders using glass jars, glue and colored tissue paper. At the end of the Oct. 28 workshop, each child took home a finished piece to decorate their home.
“The pumpkin workshop is an opportunity for students to practice their fine motor skills with the help of a special grownup,” said Principal Christine Criscione. “Creating the pumpkin votive candle holder is a great way for students to reinforce the art concepts they are learning, along with celebrating Halloween.”
