Orange orbs filled the grass outside May Moore’s front doors on Oct. 22, delighting youngsters ready to enjoy the school’s annual pumpkin patch event.
“May Moore’s students had a spooktacular time in the pumpkin patch,” said Principal Alicia Konecny. “Thank you to our PFC for donating a pumpkin to every boy and ghoul.”
Mixing facts with frightful fun, the school’s classes learned numerous scientific details about the seasonal gourds, such as the fact that they are composed of 90 percent water, that they contain significant potassium and Vitamin A, and that their flowers are edible.
