Seniors Joseph Sanchez, Jade Wilson and Alec Winters attended the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders in Boston this past summer. Admission to this prestigious honors-only academy program was based on factors including grade point averages of 3.5 or higher, demonstrated leadership potential and declared aspirations to become physicians, scientists or technologists.
During their three days at the Congress, the Deer Park students were surrounded by fellow high schoolers from across the nation who share the same passion, ability and potential.
“Our students were certified with the official Award of Excellence as a result of their successful completion of the Congress,” said Jeanne Kozlowsky, the school’s associate principal of curriculum.
