Senior wrestler Tommy Cox signed a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 19 to attend North Carolina State University next fall. He was congratulated by coach Mike McLaughlin, Athletic Director Dominick Fontana and Cox’s attending parents.
A three-time All-Leaguer, two-time league champion and county finalist, Cox finished third in state competition and won at the junior nationals. He cited the Wolfpack’s strong Division I program, ranked fifth in the nation, as a main reason he chose NC State, along with the Raleigh campus.
“When I went on an unofficial visit, I loved the campus and atmosphere,” said Cox. “I felt like I belonged.”
