Students, teachers, and parents celebrated Deer Park’s artistic talents at the inaugural “Dinner and a Show” event, hosted by the Deer Park Arts Council. More than 300 guests attended the event, held on Nov. 13 at the high school.

A pasta dinner was served, followed by an hour of performances by students and faculty. Attendees also enjoyed an art exhibition of selected works from students. The district plans to make “Dinner and a Show” an annual event to recognize student talent and faculty guidance in the arts.

“As a new administrator in Deer Park, this night offered a wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about the community’s appreciation and commitment to the arts,” said Bradley Murphy, the district’s curriculum associate for fine and performing arts.
