The annual variety show at JFK proved a real “thriller” this year, culminating in a special surprise performance by administrators and staff.
The Feb. 26 event, organized by fourth-grade teacher Melissa Price and teaching assistants Donna Arena and Sue Wright, featured students showing off their multifaceted talents in everything from music, dance, cheerleading and gymnastics, to magic acts, comedy and hula hooping. For the finale, the zombie-costumed staff performed the classic Michael Jackson song “Thriller,” as choreographed by staff member CarolAnn Gaona during the weeks prior to the show.
“The students loved the closing act of the show as it was a total surprise,” said Principal Susan Bonner.
