High Schoolers Ring in the New-trition at May Moore

High school students in the child development program visited May Moore on March 21 to deliver a lesson on making healthy food choices for National Nutrition Month.

The high schoolers prepared a tasty yogurt parfait with the May Moore classes, giving the younger students a chance to experiment with healthy foods that they may not have tasted before.

“It was rewarding to see our high school students interact and teach the lessons they have learned about healthy eating and making good choices to the youngsters in our district,” said Heather Stewart, the district’s curriculum associate for family and consumer science and social studies. “The real-world application of learning provided a rich experience for all our students.
