Ashley Rosenberg has been named the new district administrator of world languages and ENL, as of July 1.

Rosenberg taught ENL at May Moore for the last four years. She previously served as a first-grade classroom teacher of primarily English Language Learners for the New York City Department of Education in Brooklyn.

A resident of Melville, Rosenberg earned her bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University, and her master’s degree in literacy and cognition at St. Joseph’s College. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in interdisciplinary studies at LIU Post, working on a dissertation on refugee and immigrant students and SIFE, which stands for students with interrupted formal education.

“I look forward to collaborating with teachers, administrators and families within the community to maintain and expand upon the strong reputation our world language and ENL departments have,” she said.
