JFK Receives Tanger Grant for Innovation Lab 1

At a recent Board of Education meeting, Tanger Outlets General Manager Nancy Larson presented a grant check for $2,000 to JFK Principal Susan Bonner. The funding, part of the TangerKIDS grants program, will support the school’s upcoming STEM Innovation Lab project.

“Our school strives to meet the challenge of the 21st century STEM curriculum,” said Bonner. “We believe that all JFK students are capable of solving problems through hands-on activities that embrace deep thinking and problem solving strategies. Through the implementation of the Innovation Lab, it is our hope to foster these skills in our students. We plan to create and organize a classroom in the school in which teachers can bring their classes to experience the Innovation Lab. The room will be transformed into a learning environment with critical thinking stations, computers for coding and a green screen filming area.”
