A classroom at May Moore was the recent scene of a special visit from three members of the Amani Childrens Choir from Kampala, Uganda – ninth grader Angel May Nakafero, sixth grader Hussinah Nanteza and fourth-grader Denise Umotoniwase – accompanied by chaperone Stella Asio.

After a slide presentation and video, the visitors took questions from the class, discussing such topics as favorite places in the U.S. that they have visited and what languages they speak. To conclude the presentation, the Ugandan students – who were hosted by Debbie Sellers, the grandmother of one of the students in the class – treated the May Moore students to vibrant performances of traditional dances and songs.
