1979 Class Reunion and E-mail Center
WE WILL HOLD A THIRTY YEAR REUNION ON AUGUST 8 and 9, 2009! WE'LL NEED YOUR HELP TO ROUND UP ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OUT OF THE LOOP!

WE KNOW THAT ALL THE PAST REUNIONS WERE A BLAST. What if somehow, some way, we could outdo ourselves just one more time and make it last just a little bit longer? Instead of just a few hours, why not a whole weekend of events? That's one of the ideas we are working on. The only complaint I heard about the 25 year event was that the 5 hours we set aside was not really enough. We'll be using Reunions of America this time, and will get all the details up here as soon as we work them out. If anyone wants to help, just let us know! I can tell you that there has been a lot of interest...from many people, actually more than I've ever seen. There were a few people last time who were kind of "iffy" about going. After some convincing phone calls and e-mails they came, and were really surprised by the outcome. If you are here reading this far into it... you know you want to do it. Hey Guys, Our 30 Year Reunion "Weekend Celebration" will be held on August 8th and 9th, 2009. I will have more specific information in the upcoming months. I wanted to get out the dates early before everyone started setting up their travel plans for next summer. I assure you it will be something you will not want to miss. Since the word got out that I was planning our 30 Year Reunion, the response has been unbelievable. THE 25 YEAR EVENT was held at Stuart Thomas Manor in Farmingdale on August 7th, 2004 and it was a real blast from the past. Those of you who missed it will never understand the amount of fun we had that night. The 5 hours we set aside went by TOO fast! I only got to talk in detail to about half the people I wanted to talk to. A lot of people were not ready to call it a night and met at the Finish Line (now demolished) where the festivities continued into the next morning. It had been almost 10 years since I set foot in that place. Many others who attended expressed a desire to get together again soon. Some spoke about being apprehensive about going, but soon learned that there was no reason for this. Others came for the first time, having missed both the 10 and 20 year events. And of course the many who managed to go to all 3 events so far also helped make it a memorable night. The only complaints we heard was "The line at the bar was too long!" and that the event was over too fast. My apologies to anyone who was offended by by excessive photography or other antics, whatever those might have been! I personally had the best time ever at this reunion, and not only was the company great but the food was too. And everyone looked great. Now let's stay in touch a little more, send someone an e-mail or something to say hello once in a while. It's a lot of work to organize and it would be real easy to say "Who cares" or "When I get around to it". We'll need some help, so if you are inclined to even consider helping in any way you can imagine... even if it just talking ONE of your old buddies into going... JUST DO IT. You know you want to be there. Also don't forget to UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION so we can find you for the 30 year and other events!! Anyone wishing to join me for future LI or NYC outdoor expeditions such as hikes or bicycle rides, etc. get in touch too. And last but not least, the question that must be asked... Where DID all the time go anyway??? 30 Years! Back in HS days I thought we'd already be geezers by the 10th reunion. I just decided that "geezerhood" begins when WE say it does... no sooner, and subject to future revisions as needed!

Highly recommended by this site!!! Get an E-mail address for life that does not need to be changed when you switch ISP's. Especially with the new high bandwidth connections such as DSL and Cable modems, many of you will eventually move to other providers which require giving up your old e-mail address. Using one of the web-based e-mails means you can keep the new address forever as long as you occasionally use it. You can log in on any PC with web access anywhere to check and send E-mail. All you have to do is go to the e-mail site, register your new name, log in, and go.
