DPHS BOOK OF THE MONTH CLUB

For the past six years School Librarian Roanne Lefing has been the Advisor for the DPHS Book of the Month Club. Book selections were suggested by either club members or Mrs. Lefing herself. Krystal, who is now a senior, has been attending club meetings since she was in ninth grade.

Students had previously read "Lucky", written by Alice Sebold. Characters, setting, and plot were among the topics discussed. The club members enjoyed the style of writing and chose to read "Lovely Bones", also written by Ms. Sebold.  Stephanie says: ""I enjoy the option of flexible scheduling, which allows me to do something at my own pace." Students are looking forward to many more informative and enjoyable meetings.
