JFK Election Day Brookhaven National Laboratory visits JFK Fourth Graders An interactive program called Magnets To Go was presented to all fourth grade students. The focus was on the discovery of magnetic properties and electromagnetism. Students tested an assortment of items and classified them into magnetic and non-magnetic categories. Through experimentation, they learned that about many metals and their individual magnetic or non-magnetic properties. Students had an opportunity to make their own electromagnets, which was an absolutely "electrifying" experience. Click Here for Pictures
