DPHS Celebrates 19 College-Bound Senior Athletes

In a joyous June 7 ceremony in the school auditorium, Deer Park High School recognized 19 seniors who will be continuing their exemplary athletic careers in college this fall.

Daniel Bartolomei will play lacrosse at St. Thomas Aquinas College, majoring in computer science; Daniella Belotti will join the cross-country and track team at SUNY Cortland, majoring in childhood education; Nicholas Capone will play baseball at SUNY Maritime, majoring in mechanical engineering; Daniel Catano will join the cross-country and track team at Farmingdale College, majoring in liberal arts; Connor Costanza will play lacrosse at Utica College, majoring in nursing; Mike D’Amato will play lacrosse at Molloy College, majoring in nursing; Nick DeNoyior will play baseball at Neumann University, majoring in political science; Casey Fonseca will join the swimming team at Adelphi University, majoring in physics and education; Kristina Gambino will play soccer at Pace University, majoring in advertising and graphic design; Nicholas Maniscalco will join the track and field team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, majoring in computer science; Jessica Mare will play soccer at American International College, majoring in physical therapy; Madison Mattera will play lacrosse at Nyack College, majoring in childhood education; Jordan Minerva will play lacrosse at Bloomsburg University, majoring in finance; Patrick Oswald will play lacrosse at SUNY Cortland, majoring in physical education; Jaelyn Rios will play volleyball at Mercy College, majoring in nursing; Jordan Rodriguez will play baseball at CUNY Lehman, majoring in physical education; Jordan Sheehan will play lacrosse at Manhattanville College, majoring in political science; Kaylee Shindel will join the equestrian team at Sacred Heart University, majoring in secondary education and English; and Don Vento will play baseball at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, majoring in finance.

“Congratulations to all of our senior athletes who are going on to play in college next year,” said Athletic Director Dominick Fontana. “All of your hard work and dedication over the years have paid off. Best of luck in the future.”
