The high school and middle school both welcomed their newest students on Aug. 25, offering freshman and sixth grade orientation events, respectively.

Robert Frost’s newcomers, recently having moved up from JQA and May Moore, were introduced to life in middle school, and were given an opportunity to tour the building and meet administrators and counselors.

At the high school, Principal Charles Cobb gave a short introductory presentation after breakfast and introduced the new freshman class advisers for the Class of 2025. Students then had a chance to meet their guidance counselors and were given tours of the building by older students from the senior class, Student Council and National Honor Society.

“We wanted to make sure that the incoming ninth grade class had a chance to walk the halls and familiarize themselves with the high school,” said Deer Park High School Associate Principal Garret Noblett. “They all seemed really happy to be among their friends and peers again.”
