In an outstanding playoff run, Deer Park High School’s varsity boys soccer team made it to their first Suffolk County championship game since 1997. After a memorable season that included a nine-game unbeaten streak from Sept. 9 to Oct. 6, the Falcons finished with a terrific 13-3-3 record despite losing senior Cristian Miller to a knee injury. The second-seeded Falcons took down Harborfields in the semifinal game before meeting the top seeds and eventual county champs Northport in the finals on Nov. 3.
