Superintendent James Cummings kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with an inspiring Superintendent’s Conference Day presentation on Aug. 27, welcoming teachers and administrators back for another year of educational progress, thanking staff for their hard work over the summer, and discussing recent and ongoing projects. As always, Cummings’ message came back to the core values embedded in the Deer Park School District’s mission statement, committing Deer Park to equity, excellence and supporting students achieve their goals while emphasizing school safety and creating a positive culture of professionalism and clear communication between staff, students and parents.
